  HaCAMP 2016 – World Cuisine Day

Today was a really fun day to me. During the morning, we had a culinary competition. My team cooked New Zealand roast beef, with potatoes as the side dish. We started by cutting the potato into slices and I seasoned the beef. Then I put them both on a dish and roasted them. In the end, my team won the 3rd place. I think the beef was a little overcooked but besides that, I was quite happy with the final results. This definitely helped me improve my cooking skills and I feel like I did much better than last year’s cooking competition. After a hardworking morning, we got to relax with a water fight. I had a lot of fun and almost everyone ended up soaking wet! Then we went swimming in the pool to end the afternoon activities. I had a lot of fun activities today and I’m sure all the other campers loved it too!” Minh Khue – New Zealand team captain has shared.

   To Gia Bao, a 4th grader, he has a fantastic day with team United Kingdom. They made fish and chips in the morning and got 24.5/30 points from the judges. He picked the biggest piece of fish on the plate. They had different kinds of food for lunch. He ate spaghetti and kimbap. In the afternoon, they played water war. The battle was so cold that he got wet from top to toe. Then they went swimming before having the snack. He moved from team UK to start the journey with the Netherlands.

   Today is awesome to Duy Quang. His team, Australia, joined the food fair with beef, potatoes and chocolate ice cream. They had a lot of fun. The judges were satisfied with their dishes. They felt very happy.

   Mash potatoes, tasmania beef and neutella ice cream are the 3 kinds of food that our team cooked for the culinary festival. After the judges announced that we won the first place, we tasted the dishes. In the afternoon, 6 countries had a water fight. That was the best fight ever. I love this camp because it gives me a lot of memory. That’s what Thuy Tien – team Australia leader told about the third day of HaCAMP 2016.

   For Trang Nguyen, she loves this summer camp because she can participate in many activities. She got a lot of fun. She likes the cuisine fair with many kinds of food. She likes the water games. She expects to have more fun with friends here.

   Hai Nguyen is very interested in HaCAMP as he is instructed carefully in different activities by the teachers. He is also motivated by them. He is happy with the cooking time and singing with his team and all other friends.

Bao Anh – team New Zealand is keen on making her own apron and chef hat most. She wore them to prepare roasted beef with her mates and they came third in the world cuisine fair.
