My heart was like choking when I heard the sweet tunes from violin, the swarms of zombies staggered and fell … There was so many emotions while enjoying the performances of Hanoi Academy’s Got Talent Season 5 at Hanoi Academy’s Auditorium. The trophy belonged to 10A1 class which recorded three consecutive years of reaching the championship. If the previous year’s was a romantic love story and ended as a monumental wedding then in this year’s season, the contestants took the theme of the protection of human before the extinction by the attacks of the devil. Based on the motive of the Western tradition in Halloween, zombies attack the human world and with one bite they can turn humans into the undead. Not simply that, a story of 10A1 started by rescuing a leader of an army camp which was surrounded by zombies. The final message of the leader was: “Let’s save the world!”. Since then, his troops had fought hard against the attack of the zombies. The ending of the story was unexpectedly; a female soldier in the army was bitten, became commander of the legion of zombies and used the violin to command them to attack the remaining soldiers. But, the last soldier also fought back the zombies by using his mighty violin too. Viewers were “prickling snail” with the violin battle which was coordinated marvelously. One side was justice and one side was evil. The zombies sometimes were ferocious by the haunting violin sound, sometimes they given up by the sound of the guy who saves the world. That moment was both chilling and thrilling. The image of the soldier who raised the heart of the zombie leader in his hand was haunting. While viewers still stunned by the heroic action; a hidden zombie suddenly attacked him from behind. In a split second to think, between life and death, the last soldier pulled a trigger to suicide, end of the sweep by zombie legions. The auditorium was quiet down for a while and then it was full of screams and applauses. The drama was so humanity, heroic and romantic.
Together with an excellent performance of 10A1, the others performances were also exclusive and unique. During scripting, acting, sound mixing and preparing props, all classes explored and wanted to confirm their particular and identity. Viewers impressed with the dance of 12A class. Their appearing on stage was impressive with the dancer’s costume and ended with a brilliant flare screen. With the theme of “war and peace”, the performance of 11A2 class created plot about a little girl who lost her parents during the war and then she volunteered in the army. The love for country and family has always inspired her to fight. End of the story, the two sides shook hands to build a peaceful life and eliminate all hatred. Despite not winning but 8A1’s performance was serious during the period of training. A passionate group of young explorers entered an island where only full of horror dolls. With a backpack, flashlight, the sound of the door, hours ticking, and viewers breathless waited for impending. And as expected, the youth group was hypnotized and controlled by dolls. The macabre and wild dance was interesting and haunting. Overall contribution to the success of this year’s Talent Show was the young students from 6th and 7th grade. Their presence has enriched the content of the dance, drama and musical theater… With the advantage of the English, the contestants from 7A1 and 7A2 class brought a colorful international atmosphere, made viewers laugh and satisfied by their proficiency of foreign language. Although they were the youngest but the students of 6th grade were actively trained and performed very cheesy and lovely; promising potential for the next season’s Got Talent.
The Got Talent this year had the cooperation of the Halloween event. The organizers gave awards for classes who achieved outstanding accomplishments in costume for Halloween. The first prize belonged to 11A2; the second prize was 9A2 and 10A1 won the third prize. Not only was that, in the event, there was the presence of rapper Kimmese (The Voice Vietnam 2015) and drummer from Kickoff band. Their performances made the hall scream and admire.
Another Got Talent season closed but audience will remember forever about a golden generation of Hanoi Academy student. What they have done cannot express by words. We just know that, there are an unstop creativity in the students and much more.
