International University Alliance (IUA)

The International University Alliance (IUA) is a non-profit union of internationally recognized tier-one U.S universities sponsored by Shorelight Education. IUA collectively advances the distinctiveness and desirability of a U.S higher education and expands opportunities for international students by supporting multilateral relationships among its members and global higher education stakeholders.

International University Alliance (IUA)1. Scholarship

UA will award up to 5 scholarships to Hanoi Academy students who completed the high school program in the 2017-2018 school year. Those will be enrolled in one of IUA’s universities in the fall term 2018. Students studying at Hanoi Academy may nominate for scholarships based on student performance or a minimum GPA of 3.0, then one IUA member shall conduct scholarship interviews with possible candidates. The IUA and the relevant university will make a final decision as to which candidate will receive the scholarship and the value of the scholarship.
  • University of Illinois at Chicago – maximum of 12,000 US dollars/year for 4 years
  • Adelphi University – maximum of 20,000 US dollars/year for 4 years
  • Pacific University – maximum of 30,000 US dollars/year for 4 years
  • Auburn University in Montgomery (AUM) – up to 4,500 US dollars/year for 4 years
  • University of Kansas – maximum of 15,000 US dollars for the first academic year
  • University of Central Florida – a maximum of 7,500 US dollars for the first academic year
  • Florida International University – up to US dollars 7,500 US dollars for the first academic year
  • Auburn University – up to 15,000 US dollars for the first academic year
  • University of South Carolina – maximum of  15,000 US dollars  for the first academic year
  • American University – maximum of 15,000 US dollars for the first academic year
  • Louisiana State University – up to 15,000 US dollars for the first academic year

2. Guarantee admission

Students of the Hanoi Academy are guaranteed admission to the supplementary program relevant to their English levels in order to achieve the minimum GPA below. Students must comply with all other relevant requirements and provide all necessary paperwork to prove eligibility and process applications.
  • American University – minimum 3.0 GPA to guarantee admission
  • Florida International University – minimum 2.8 GPA to guarantee admission
  • All other members universities – minimum 2.5 GPA to guarantee admission
Admission requirements may change annually, and some programs or majors have specific requirements. The participating university reserves the right to refuse admission if the student does not meet other requirements or unable to confirm eligibility for any other reason, including financial, behavioural and immigration status.
